Siblings. How difficult, yet greatly needed they are. I am the oldest of five and I can retell you story after story of how my own siblings have brought me down, but I can tell you even more where they have made me proud. Sure they can all have their “thorn in the side” moments, but they are some of my greatest blessings from God. How He knew I needed them!
They have humbled me when I became too prideful, have corrected my misunderstandings, have cared for me in my sickness, have encouraged me in my faith, have driven me in my life.
Not only did God bless me with siblings from my parents, but He gave me spiritual siblings when I became His child. They are an extra “cherry on top” as if God was all that and more! He knew how much in life they would help me. They encourage, pray, love, and even rebuke me. I requisite all of that to show me that I am not perfect and God is still working on me.
Maybe God did not give you siblings or perhaps you are not close with rhe ones you have, pray that God open your eyes to the spiritual siblings He has given you. Then help each other on your own journeys in the crazy life.
“As iron sharpens iron, so one man sharpens another.” Proverbs 27:17
Stay crazy and love your siblings, Hannah
