It amazes me that God still uses Vacation Bible School in my walk with Him, even if I have been out for a few years. I was in Romania when my own church had VBS, but they sang the theme song the Sunday I returned. The children were all smiles as they sang and moved to the song. But it was the words that sank into my soul.

“Wherever You lead me, I’m gonna follow. I’m trusting You, God. You are good! Life will be crazy, wild, and amazing. I’m trusting You, God. You are good!”

Those words moved me to tears. They explained exactly how I felt. I trusted God to lead me to the great unknown. Life for those 17 days were crazy, wild, and definitely amazing! Through every moment, God guided my path. When I was sad because I didn’t understand the language. He showed that His love spoke through every language, with or without words. When I was exhausted in the afternoons and evenings, He reminded me that I draw my strength and energy from Him alone.

Now, I am home. I wish with everything in me that I was in Romania rather than writing this. But I know that God will teach me and use me here. I don’t know how yet. But I know His plan will prevail through the fog of the unknown. Right now as I stumble along in the fog of unknown, I trust in God’s plan. As long as I am on the straight and narrow, even a centimeter in the right direction is good.

“For I know the plans I have for you, declared the LORD, plans for welfare and not for evil, to give you a hope and a future.”

Jeremiah 29:11

Stay crazy and trust God through the fog, Hannah
